Foundations & Clinical Applications of Wideband Tympanometry

Welcome to this course on wideband tympanometry, presented by Dr Gabrielle R. Merchant, AuD., PhD., CCC-A, and Dr Hammam AlMakadma, AuD., PhD., CCC-A, in collaboration with the Interacoustics Academy. The learning objectives for this course are to:

Understand the foundations of acoustic mechanics involved in wideband tympanometry, its terminology and the differences between wideband tympanometry and single frequency tympanometry.
Be able to identify factors which can introduce variability into the wideband tympanometry measurement and know how to optimize measurement technique for accurate and reliable recordings.
Explore the clinical applications of wideband tympanometry for both the adult and pediatric population and for a variety of pathologies.
