Using cortical assessments for the management of ANSD
This course explores how cortical auditory evoked potential measurements can be used to inform the management of patients with auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD). Whilst traditionally behavioral testing has been required to inform decisions regarding amplification and cochlear implantation, cortical measurements are providing data at earlier ages which is facilitating earlier intervention. The evidence base is reviewed and best practices discussed to help ensure safe and appropriate management decisions are made.
Presented by: Amanda Goodhew, Audiologist and International Clinical Trainer at the Interacoustics Academy.
