Pediatric Vestibular Assessment in Children with Hearing Impairment
This course will examine the critical role of vestibular assessment in the management of infants and children with identified hearing impairment. Historically, clinical intervention has focused primarily on auditory rehabilitation; however, emerging international evidence highlights the importance of considering co-occurring vestibular dysfunction as part of the holistic care of the hearing-impaired child. The course will review the current evidence base, explore best practices, and provide practical guidance to support safe and effective management decisions for children presenting with both hearing and peripheral vestibular dysfunction.
Presented by: Darren Whelan, MSc MRes, and Professor Leen Maes, Ph.D.
The course is free of charge and you will receive a certificate upon completion. We are working toward points accreditation with various governing bodies around the world, including the American Academy of Audiology.
